Perhaps an insight into where tone comes from. Lloyd on a JCH, Tommy on a Derby. Could you tell the difference to their Sho-Bud or Mullen with your eyes closed? |

The bass player is Dennis Crouch, the drummer looks familiar but I don't remember the name. Don't know who the guitar player was.
Man, I had such a great time watching that video again...plus looking at Lloyd's JCH that is set up in my living room, actually it is just one meter away from me as I write this. What a great instrument JC built! The poor instrument now has to cope with my playing attempts...
Kind Regards, Walter _________________ www.lloydgreentribute.com |

It's absolutely incredible.
They look young, do you know when this was done? |

Both those guys are the greatest in my opinion. I could listen all day long to that. I had to chuckle too after Tommy played some really awesome stuff reminiscent of Lloyd's style and then Lloyd started playing and Tommy started grinning because there was that legendary sound we all grew up with. I had the same experience when the legendary Ray Price came to sing in my studio in 2005. There was that familar voice I grew up hearing coming over my monitors. It's almost like a religious experience. Lol! |
