For better (or worse, haha) I always end up with red guitars in one form or another. My first pedal steel was a red Stage One just like Larry in the first post. Simple, but I loved it, and learned so much in that instrument! Have a few other (fretted) red guitars too; an old SG with a Bigsby and my trusty old telecaster.

Here is mine. It is a rebuild of a ‘73 MSA Classic. I built a new red oak body and covered it with red formica. I put on aluminum necks. All the other hardware is original MSA.
And of course it is left handed. Not to brag, but a lot of people that have heard it, says it is one of the best sounding MSA’s they have heard.
