I want to change the pickup in my Rogue lap steel and I wonder if a Guitar Madness Tele Rails humbucker would drop right in or would I have to make some changes to the top plate on the guitar and maybe drill a couple of holes for mounting the pickup. I'm sure someone has done this surgery before. _________________ I don't know much but what I know I know very well.

Why not just get a Strat-sized pickup that will drop right in? A Tele-sized one will require modifications to the plate and probably some routing of the wood underneath. If you want a Tele-style sound, you can get them in a Strat form. |
