I was in Parkway Music in Clifton Park, NY today. They have 2 pedal steel guitars for sale. 1st, an Emmons LeGrand double 10, short key head in very nice condition, and 2nd a Sierra 14 string keyless. I thought they were both pricey. I have no pony in this race, just letting you know they are there. For more information, contact Parkway Music. |

What I would give to see a pedal steel in a local music shop! My favorite local shop had a GFI for a short while, but that's it. _________________ Marlen S12 and a ZT Club |

Not sure how old that Sierra is, but with 14 strings, 9 pedals, and I am not sure how many knee levers, just think of all the possibilities there. That price does not seem too out of line, IMHO. I could not find any info on the Emmons, however. |

Parkway has some really good stuff at times, usually some nice vintage guitars and amps too, but there are NO bargains there... _________________ I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!

Wow... I was just a few miles from Parkway today as I took my wife to the ophthalmologist near there. After her appointment we ate at Cracker Barrel. I thought about stopping in at Parkway but decided we'd better just head home as we live quite a ways west of there.
Like Bob said though, usually no super deals there but they do have some cool stuff often. I'd have liked to check out the Emmons SKH. I had an early one (Derby Red) back when and it was a good horn. |
