One day about 6 months ago, I was sitting in a chair in my music room playing my old National tricone. I heard this weird sound. WTF was it? I looked down and my female cattle dog, Piper, had crawled under my chair and was softly moaning (howling) while I played. When I stopped, she stopped. It seems to be resonator guitars that get her going. My other instruments don’t do anything.

Even riding in the car, if a song comes on with a dobro break in it, she howls. But only the dobro.

I can’t figure out if she likes it or hates it. Maybe Jim Palenscar can tell me.

The dingo DNA in the Austrailian Cattle Dog breed must cause this primal response. LOL
