Hi All, just picked-up a Carter Starter in December. Never touched a PSG before (been playing 6-string Guitar since childhood). I'm trying to hear and transcribe some of my favorite Bruce Bouton licks. Can anybody tell me if I'm on the right track with the intro for "That Summer"?
Does my transcription below sound accurate? Thanks for any tips/critique.

Sounds to me like he's starting off hitting 5-4-1 (with the 1st string raised a whole tone) and then dropping the 1st. |

The Carter Starter probably doesnβt have the String 1 whole step raise.
The way to copy the opening lick without that raise is to do it on strings 6-4-2-1 with B and C pedals and the String 2 half-step lower lever. Hold B down on 6, rock on and release C on string 4. At the 7th fret for this tune, over the A chord. I used to do it that way on my Stage One.
The middle of your tab looks good. Good practice for the left foot going from BC to AB.
The chord riff at the end is D-A/C#-Bm. That part of the tab needs work. |

@b0b - Yes, I actually indicated the wrong pedal. I meant to use LKR (aka the E to Eb).
@Fred - Thanks for the notes.
@Donny - I found a thread with Bruce's copedent. He has it set-up with RKR raising String 1. I'm a month into learning this beast and I think I'm ready for an upgrade. Don't get me wrong, the Carter Starter is great.
Lemme take another stab.
Here's Bruce's copedent =
