Topic: C6 Pockets Converted to E9/B6 Uni and D6 |

Several years ago I converted a lot of C6 stuff i.e.Trap Truly's C6 Chords etc to Uni,,,recently several people have asked for some of these things. Here are 4 common C6 pockets converted to uni,,,and also to b0b's D6. Not sure where I got these pockets from,,,could very well have been from Jeff Newman,,,and I don't guarantee the accuracy of the pockets. I do know they can easily be seen/broken out of the strings of C6 pockets on Buddy's website,,,the strings of notes that run the fretboard.

Well I already see one mistake,,,,the 2 below pocket needs to be moved up 1 fret to be in A as noted,,,,sorry about that.
One of the advantages of these pockets is the overlap of chords in the progression,,,i.e. the 2 below pocket of the I chord puts you in position for the tail end of the poodle pocket,,or the OBAIL pocket of the IV chord. |

Thanks Sonny. I'm not a uni player but I've been working a bit lately applying C6th thinking to Ext E9 and E9th to C6th.

| Yes Bas,,,I'm going to put b0b's D6 with 5 pedals 5 levers on a 12 string. It makes more sense to me to approach the 9th FROM the 6th side,,rather than vis versa. I guess that's the way Reese and Bb6 players see it also. |

When you do that, Sonny, you should add the low D as the 11th string. It will give you the standard low end of the C6th. You could even add a low low B as the 12th string so that the low D doesn't have to both raise and lower. Tuning stability has always been a problem on the C6th's lowest string.

| I would probably try to stay with the same string sequence,,,adapt the pulls to that. This is the sequence that I like,,,a slight modification from Jeff standard Uni,,,,low to high 1-4-6-1-3-5-6-1-3-5-6-2,,,tuned to a D of course. |
