| Ron, that could be. It says Toy on front cover. I couldn't find any publisher info and I don't remember what year it was. I went to several of his June Jams. The author had a table there and I bought the book from him. It's very cool inside shows loads of chords with pedal and knees up the fretboard. |

I subscribe to Travis Toy Tutorials and I remember Travis bringing this up on one of our group calls. It's pretty cool that you have a copy and find it super useful. I've tried to hunt one down on Ebay or elsewhere and haven't much luck.

| There is a wealth of chords in this and I used it along with various other Mel Bay books to understand the tuning. It seems that no 2 books or training materials had the same changes. I made up a large poster board chart and put it on the wall in front of my steel for ages. That was in the 80s. I'm kinda shocked that no one else has recognized my post. Vital info for a new steel student, especially before YouTube and structured lessons. |

It would be good if something like this could be produced again. The MelBay chord chart is a great product, and I've made some tab charts of my own based on the information from the charts.
Years ago there was an excellent chart posted here on the forum that I still use. The title is "Brian Kurlychek's E9th Fretboard Locator." I recently made the same chart using Microsoft Excel so I could make it easier to read. I designed it with GFI fretboard markers and it turned out very well. I hesitate to post it because I don't want to risk infringing on a copyright. If I can find the post I'll put it in this thread.

Hey Larry. That was indeed my late father’s invention. Super cool that you’ve got one. I have a few in a box in my garage that my mom gave me when going through dad’s stuff after he passed. I referenced that book a lot when I was starting out. I was probably at the June Jam that you bought it at. 95ish, 96ish?

It’s something I have considered. I would probably wanna add a thing or two, and update with a few more pedals that have become “standard”. All I need is the time to do it…

| Travis, yes it was about that time and at the June Jam. It was a valuable resource and it would be great if you updated and refined it now. Man I loved those June Jams. I wish there was another guy like Jeff to make steel front and center. Those were great times. |
