How many pickers here have an old metal-neck Bolton. They keep showing up in various posts. I sure love the two I have. Unreal tone and they play pretty good as well. If you have one -- or more -- post a photo.

This is my 66 bolt with 67 era pickups in it. I was reluctant to join the p/p club due to mechanical reasons. Many will say a true aluminum neck bolt-on will have tuning issues. I can say that mine stays in tune better than any all pull I own. It doesn't change much with temperature fluctuations either. They have a certain amount of vibrancy in the mid range other p/p's don't. To my ears, it's like a mini explosion every time a string is picked. The p/p guys in Texas call it "PING." I think that's a good way to describe it. They arguably cut through a live mix more effectively than the other p/p configurations. Tommy Detamore and Bill Terry are probably the Bolt-On Experts when it comes to gigging with them. They know what they do and like them for those reasons.

This is a very cool ‘67 Bolt On I picked up about a year ago. It was set up beautifully by Kelcey O’Neil and plays very well. Just got the pickup rewired (something was weird sounding about it: too thin/bright) by Clay Alden to vintage specs and it sounds great now!

Here’s another residing in the Wolverine state. Invoice #2611, original pickups. Cody and I had them end plate to end plate not long ago, man that was a fun day!

I've got a '66 with 9 original floor pedals. Haven't seen any of those yet. E to Eb/F on right knees.

And three rows of tuning holes...seems the new Resound wraps will have that arrangement for split tuning...quite rare of a bolt on Garry...I love em

Kind of a "1967 Quad Bolt-On" - -Invoice Numbers 2460 and 2462.
(Invoice Number 2461 did not involve sale of a steel guitar).

I hear of the great tone of the "Bolt-On" guitars. Is there an example of a side-by-side recording of the difference between a Bolt-On and a non-Bolt-On guitar that demonstrates this difference? It would be interesting to hear something like that using the same amp, volume pedal, etc. recorded in a single sitting using the same settings.
