If you are using a Telinics volume pedal do you need to use the matchbox? |

The short answer is no.
The Telonics VP provides a constant Impedance load, like a Matchbox. The load Impedance is adjustable on the Telonics.
Only reason to use it would be a tone control (if the one you have, has a tone control). |

I should have noted in my original post, I have a Telonics VP and a Goodrich Matchbro that has basically a Matchbox with the dobro effect off.
I get the same sound either through the Matchbro bypass position or direct to the Telonics VP. I had a Hilton VP and it too provides constant Impedance on input like the Telonics. |

I like the Matchbox for no other reason that I have volume and tone controls right at my fingertips.
