One of the most popular songs among steel players is "You're Still On My Mind". The song has been recorded much more than 100 times by some of the legends of country (and country rock) music. In the early 90's I had the pleasure of recording this song for the writer, Luke McDaniel. This version is unique for several reasons. Luke had always wanted to record it as a ballad and with a bridge he had originally written into the song. I doubt that many people ever knew that it had ever had a bridge. It was also Luke's production choice to put the descending line behind his vocal. Another outstanding feature is the sweet twin fiddles delivered by Hank Singer.
