How many of you use the Franklin pedal and the Mooney pedal. I'v heard guys say that lowering the 3rd string to a G and raising the 6th to an A at the same time is suppose to be called a Mooney pedal. I would like to hear some pro's and con's on some of these different pedal setups. I'm sure some do this on a knee lever.
Thanks, Gary. |

On my universal, I have the B6 "D" pedal in position #4 where it also functions as an extra E9 pedal. |

The ZB S-10 I got from Harley James has a 4th pedal that drops string 5 from C# to Bb, which most other people have that change on a lever...
Any ideas on the best way to use it?

I have the 4th string E->F# (normally found on Pedal C) on a KL.... moved Pedal A&B over one position to the right... which leaves the first pedal (Pedal Zero) for me to lower string 3 and 6 to G.... I've had this setup since mid '70s, I like using Pedal zero down, while rocking on/off pedal A.
I also use my Pedal D (normally on the C6th neck)in the E9th mode of my U12 as well.

I have 5 floor pedals on the E9th neck. The first pedal lowers both G#'s to G's. Positions 2,3,4 are the normal A,B,C pedals. The 5th pedal is the Franklin pedal. |

On pedal 4, I lower the B strings to A#.
I use LKV for F# strings to G. I wanted to try the B to A# change, so P-4 works for me (for now). I'm still working on the half-pedal for the "C".
On pedal 5, I lower the E strings to D.
I like this for swing stuff out of B6, toggling with the E to D# lever & using the lever that lowers strings 2 & 9 to C#.

I'm thinking about adding a pedal to my S-10... a "0" position that raises the 6th string from G# to A#... Can anybody guess why I'd want such a change? |

According to a forum member in Florida, the Franlin pedal is actually on a lever.
I asked David Jackson for this ,and he said your'e better off with it on the 4th pedal.
That might take some getting use to.He told me Tommy White has had that set up for twenty years. So My Jackson incoming (4 days) will have 4 on the floor. Like the sound of that.

My extra E9-Change is on an extra LKL that I currently use for experimenting, just because it's there!
