Mr. Billy Robinson passed away today... an amazing musician, with many stories to tell. It was my pleasure to hear him and record him many times. Thanks for all the memories Billy... you did stuff on steel guitar that nobody else could do without pedals.

Wow, he was an amazing player! Such a loss. My condolences to his family and friends. Pedal steel sound without pedals!

Billy Robinson is one of my all time favourite players. What a wonderful, creative and dedicated musician.

He is the reason I keep trying to get my sound on non pedal steel.

This is such sad news.

Seeing Billy and hearing him perform at the steel shows was something I always looked forward to.

He was always a kind and friendly gentleman.

Oh man what a loss. I just mentioned him in the post about two string bending YESTERDAY!!!! OMG so sad. He truly was a master.

Billy was unique as a player and a great ambassador for the steel guitar. I remember our interview well. He was a warm, friendly person. RIP.
