Remember there is NO "W" in Sho~Bud. "SHO" is abbreviating SHOT Jackson and "BUD" is abbreviating BUDDY Emmons; as they started the name "SHO~BUD"
So adding a "W" is pretty much Blasphemy....ha...

I think Johnnie was cleverly indicating that it’s a mixed breed! ‘Bud with a Show-Pro changer… |

Yes Patrick; but he didn't even spell that right; he FORGOT the "W" on Jeff's work>

Guys your raining on my parade just a little.
The spelling corrections from Ricky I really appreciate for sure!!
But I don’t need negativity statements on this post!!
The Changer cost $400 an $200 dollars for installation. Plus a new pick up
Wound by MR Sho Bud himself Harry Jackson. |

Haha! I was jumping to your defense, Johnnie!! I really did think you were saying it’s a ‘Bud with a Jeff Surrat upgrade.
Anyway, for whatever it’s worth, I wonder if it’s an original Pro changer that Mr. Surrat rehabilitated. I say that because mine (and all pictures I’ve seen of other Show Pro guitars) has little decorative scallops machined out of the butt end:

Thanks Patrick
From what I understand it's a brand new Changer Jeff ordered from someone he knew
Problem is I want one more changer like this one an there not available at this time.
The fingers on this changer are made from aircraft aluminum (not pot metal with chrome surfaces.)
They should last a lifetime with the right alloy aluminum for good tone an durability.
This is a very good steel with out a worn changer the main part of a pedal steel.
Play this steel through a 68 basemen head an a good 15 inch speaker cabinet an you will think you have died an gone too steel guitar heaven. |

Beautiful and tempting Sho-Bud with nice upgrades IMHO.
Question: is the finish black? I assume so, but some pics make it look very dark green (I think it might be reflecting the grass).
Also - was this a Professional? Or a Pro 2? It looks like maybe the model name decal is gone - is this a refin?
Again - super nice Bud. I'm very tempted.

Mark
Johnie Vaughn is the person that built this steel while he was Working at Sho Bud for himself. |

I stated brand new changer bought from Jeff at SHO PRO for $400.
Not a rebuilt changer. |

Johnie Vaughn was a steel player in Oklahoma City. looks like it might have been his Old Pro II Custom. He passed away a few years ago. Ken Collins could probably verify this. _________________ Best lyric in a country song: "...One more, Moon..." |

Talked to Ken earlier, and he might post later. He knows the guitar well. Evidently that was originally a Pro III that Johnny had built. _________________ Best lyric in a country song: "...One more, Moon..." |
