A rare Session 500 amp head in near-mint condition, quite remarkable for its age (it was built in 1983). I was told it never left the home and was obviously very well taken care of. I know a lot of players consider this the best steel amp ever made and I don't believe one exists in better condition.

The biggest complaint I've heard about these amps is the weight. The classic combo was over 80 lbs which this unit helped alleviate. Weighing in at 52 lbs it's not exactly light but much more manageable. It sounds amazing, has an abundance of features, and works flawlessly.

Asking $350 or best offer. Local pickup preferred, I'm happy to drive 2-3 hours to meet or deliver. Shipping is ok too

been trying to get to the bottom of this.

Bill Ferguson (long-time Peavey rep) thought it was stock at first but now says it was a conversion. could be a one-off from the factory?

at any rate, it's a time capsule piece. condition is immaculate and there is no sign of modification that I can tell
