Is dropping string 4 (E) to a D too great of a drop for string 4?

I have a rather untraditional set-up and would like to put that change on my RKR lever. This would be a dedicated change for RKR (no other string change on that lever).

The move (to get a high 7th) is doable on most guitars. It's a neat change, but you should think about what you're losing in other possibilities with that lever.

I sometimes quickly grab a 7th with the 2nd string lower, or (to get the M-M7-b7 bend)...by using the E lever, then B pedal and half pedaling the A pedal while sliding back one fret. I use it occasionally on songs like "Together Again".
