With Carter Starters discontinued and Zumsteels no longer being produced, I’m sure most people’s response to this forum post is something along the lines of “Who ISN’T looking for an affordable S10 3+4 to start out on?†Either way, I figured that it wouldn’t hurt to ask just in case there were some Stage Ones floating around that somehow didn’t make it onto the for sale forum. I’d like to break into pedal steel playing and spend under $2000 on my first pedal steel guitar.
With that all said, I’m in the Chicagoland area and I’m willing to drive up to 6 hours or so to get a steel (though I won’t be free to do so until the 18th of September. I’m determined to break into this instrument, and to do it sooner than later. So if you got any Stage Ones, Hudsons, GFIs or any sort of discontinued beginner models you’re will to part with, feel free to post them.

| As much as I’d love a Stage 1 Zum right now, I don’t believe Bruce is making them at the moment, so that zum steel link is only good for the pedals (which, if I’m to be honest, I will be looking into). |
