A fun tune for sure! Ghost Riders in the Sky played on a Gold Tone LS6 Lap Steel Guitar with a CC style blade pickup. Tuning EBDGBD low to high.
Backing track and inspiration from Doug Beaumier.
I hope you all enjoy,
Mike

Great job as usual Mike. Your LS 6 is one of my favorites. You should play it on your videos more often. The Epi is very nice too.

Thank you Bill. The LS6 turned out to be a great guitar. With its longer 25" scale length I leave it tuned to EBDGBD. The longer scale length suits this tuning and it is the same tuning and scale length as my acoustic instruments! The Epiphone with its shorter scale length is well suited to C6. Also a very nice inexpensive instrument with the upgraded pickup!

Nice job, Mike. I know what you mean about the Gold Tone long scale lap steel. The sustain is amazing. We used to sell those at the music store where I taught guitar for many years, and I did a fair amount of picking on them. The pickup is the weak link in the guitar, unfortunately. You were wise to upgrade yours.

Thank you Doug. I am not sure what the cost would be to fit a better quality pickup to these inexpensive imported guitars at the point of manufacture, I suspect it would not be very much and may only add a few dollars to the final selling price. I am sure they would get far better reviews and sell more instruments!
