I tried to figure out that infamous one and i wrote down the A-Part and 1st ending for now. I will continue but i feel pretty uncertain if this makes any sense at all...
I guess a lot of players tried this and i would be really grateful for any hints and corrections. Thanks in advance!

I slowed it down painfully but the steel guitar is pretty overlaid by Leon Rhodes' guitar. You find some good tutorials for the guitar part, but the steel part seems to be rather mysterious...I had a tough time in imagining what Buddy Charleton might have played there...
I tabbed it out for B6 Uni-12 so everything is written on fret higher.
On this well known youtube video some pull offs to the open string can be seen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pP9mDEri85o
...as well no pedals and levers seem to be involved at least in part A if you watch at 1:52.
