Any thoughts on how a 15 inch BW would work in a NV112? |

Tommy built this one for me. Sounds great with a EPS15C.
Shown here with custom vent cover that I make.

I think it would have to be custom cabinet. I put a 12"BW in my NV112 and had to pull the amp unit out to get speaker in and bolted down. |

Have only one question: why?
A 15in speaker will only lower the high-freq roll-off and narrow the beam out front. It cannot add any lows that the original 12in speaker can not already handle and deliver in an open-back cabinet.
Those who want more lows out of an NV112, should rather bypass the various high-pass filters that are built into it to protect the standard speaker and filter out DC. I do just that, and my NV112s audibly deliver a lot stronger/deeper lows, without EQ'ing, and with standard speakers. And, the "mod" does not cost a cent. |

I also raise the question, "Why" but for a different reason. Why not just purchase a Nashville 400; very similar tone wise, great deal more power, and less expensive in the long run than adding the cost of a custom cabinet and BW speaker to an existing amp. |

I'd never question why you want to do something. That's totally up to you. I'm sure you have your reasons. I know I do oddball unconventional stuff all the time. Maybe I'm just an oddball.
Anyway, I found these specs online:
Nashville 112 1x12 80W Amp Specifications:
18-1/8"H x 21-2/5" W x 10-1/4"D
43 lbs.
I assume these are outside dimensions. It appears as though the cabinet is wide enough. I would doubt it's tall enough though. Considering the bulk of the amp chassis there doesn't seem enough internal height.
There may be other considerations as well with heat sink, reverb tank and overall configuration. |

I did it mainly just to try it and do something different going with a 15â€. It does sound great although there’s nothing wrong with a stock NV112. I have one and love it. The only drawback to a NV112 to me is the weight of the cabinet.
The one pictured above weighs 38 lbs and that’s with a 15 “ speaker. I also have these amps pictured below. One is a Tommy Huff custom NV400 cab , weight is 47lbs with an EPS 15C.
The other is 112 I recovered myself. Just because ….. I was bored during quarantine 😂

Without having an idea about "why" someone think about doing something, one can not really evaluate that "something" and respond with anything of value.
Other than that I personally have very little interest in knowing why anyone want to do anything |

Good looking stuff all around Ronald. I know Peavey offered the 112 in multiple coverings and colors, but I particularly like your 112 in the cream Nubtex covering. |

Thx Jerry , I love my 112 although it’s a little heavier than the one I have with a 15 “ in it. The NV400 also has an aluminum baffle , burr brown chips , and I now have a Peavey Neo in it. It’s actually one of my favorites, but they all sound good. 😊
