1946 Gibson Lap Steel in very good condition. Looks like at some point the original open back geared tuners had been replaced with a set of Gibson Deluxe tuners.

The original pots were scratchy, so I replaced both the volume and tone pots about 5 years ago with brand new ones (CTS). At the same time I replaced the old tone capacitor with a good quality paper in oil one from Angela Instruments.

All else on this 75 year old guitar is original. When you play the guitar unplugged you can hear how resonant it is, as well as feel the string vibration throughout the body, all of which you would from a vintage Gibson instrument.

Plugged into a good steel amp the old original Gibson single coil pickup sounds beautiful... clear and punchy tone. $425 plus shipping.

The buyer IMHO, got a nice pkg, with all glitchy repairs done prior. Some very pleasant tones from a Gib ‘racetrack’ style single coil in this very resonant chunk of wood can either be very easy on the ears at low volumes, or snarly/blues laden at high volume. Nice score at this price. 😎
