I caught the end of the Grand Ole Opry tv program. Luke Bryan and Darius Rucker were on. There was a steel player with a red steel and It said GUSTER on the name plate. Have any of you heard of this brand? Any info on it? I tried to Google it to no avail. Thanks beforehand, Larry J.

https://youtu.be/BfPCqjcLViQ?

Since I don't know how to do a screen shot off youtube, Watch full screen and you can stop the video at 4:54 to see the player and the guitar.

I believe it's a Carter with a Guster decal on the front...whatever reason, I dunno.

Probably Brett or one of the Nashville steel pickers know the story.

It's a show from Aug 15 2020

For decades I had a Jackson badge on the front apron of my Emmons D-10. After the modern Jackson Steel Guitar Company came into being, I reinstalled the original Emmons badge.

Not uncommon for steelers to customize their steels. Jeff Newman once had a rosewood push-pull that was decorated like an International Harvester farm tractor.

By the way, I stole my "Jackson" logo off an ancient commercial dishwasher that looked like an overgrown R2D2.

Yes you are right about the Harvester, because that steel guitar is still playing very beautifull.
My friend Ad Kersten plays very good! Find his name somewhere and you will find some beautifull songs on the PSG, at this moment without the harvester.
Enjoy

Yes, that’s Dave. He’s probably played every pedal steel on Earth, but he loves his Carters. I almost bought that guitar from him two years ago, but I decided on another one he had. And he turned me on to Guster. Thanks again, old friend.
