I don't know what it is. Looking at the pedal bar I would be willing to say it came from the South because of the sticker on it. It looks like a Z.B. tuning machine head. |

Having looked at the ebay advert again, I see that it's being sold with a few spares. The seller says ". . . it comes with a lot of spares (see photo)"
Looking at the photo I see a pickup, a couple of items that look like knee lever kits (?) a few other miscellaneous items, a pair of end-plates and a pedal bar with 3 pedals.
Now, when did you last see a PSG offered for sale with all of these spares ?
These constitute at least the beginnings of another pedal steel guitar !
I wish I lived in or near London ~ I could be tempted to have a serious look at all that stuff ! If it had a spare set of adjustable legs I could well make an offer for the spare parts ! (I've got some maple lying under my bed that's just crying out to be turned into a PSG ! )

The steel in the add looks like a Pull release to me.Pick up seems to be a Sho-Bud Pick up.The endplates on the steel are not milled but seem to be welded.Aswell as the pedals.
Keyhead looks like a ZB one.The spare parts are a knee lever kit and some other goodies.
It's worth the price he is asking for it but not more then that.
Just go for it Jim.
Ron

I remembered an article in a British mag. about these steels. It says they were made by a chap called Ron Haines of Anlaby, East Yorks. England. They were so named because Ron spent 30 years on deep sea trawlers. Don't know if he's still around. |
