Here's some real cool jazz from Rick.
There are quite a few more and they're all great!
It made my day! |

Rick's playing has that magic that reminds me why I love steel guitar. |

Very nice. Great band too. Really like the B3 sounds there from the barefooted young man. Just great listening music. |

Thanks guys! That was a guest set I did at a once a month jazz jam in Prescott AZ last Thursday. I never played with those great players before, and like usual I was nervous as heck….hence all the clams I guess? Oh well…🙄
But at least I was able to represent for us pedal steel lovers to the local jazz community, and maybe changed some negative preconceived opinions…. I hope?
I only wish I could do it more often….and… I really wish I wouldn’t have kicked off the one E9 tune I did before tuning the couple new strings I put on 30 minutes before that set…duh 😕 |

Really cool hearing steel guitar in that setting. I love the sound, the songs ,and I love Rick's playing. You did a great job representing Steel Guitar Jazz. Thanks for getting me into it 10 years ago, and you're still helping me to this day, thanks again |

Thanks Paul! I’m using my Quilter TT12 combo through a Goodrich Baby Bloomer preamp, and a Boss RV3 Delay. For that gig I turned the treble way down from where I’d normally have it on a country gig…and the bass up. Trying to get an appropriate jazz sound. |
