I need a pedal rod for an Emmons D-10. It is the ones that the hooked end is smaller then the rod. It is a guitar, I'm redoing, and it was missing when I got it. According to it's SN, I believe it to be around a 75 model. If anyone has Emmons parts they no longer need or want, would be interested in buying them. At 80 just looking for something I love, to use to keep me busy. Not a job.

Pretty hard to tell, I'll take a picture of one and put it on here. Should have before. You sure do have a few, from what I see, you have a few, and withput a doubt, there is one there somewhere. Thanks

Here is the rod type I need, as you can see, the rod is larger then where the hook is.

Ron, I don't understand what you mean. If it's the rod , it is original, I have seven more just like it. But, I need 9.

Jim, I was just saying I've never seen a step down in diameter right at the hook on any guitar. Was the rod lentghened? Is that a sleeve the hook is mounted in? Can someone else chime in on this? RP

Yes, Larry they are from a push pull Emmons, it's a 71 year. I will tale both you have, if your selling them or just one. You may just be saying you have two Emmons with those type rods. I can get the newer type, but would like to keep it original. Larry, if your selling, PM me on how to pay, if you'll take check need your address. Thanks.

I ended up making my own a few years ago. 1/8" rod threaded to 4-40 and inserted into a threaded 3/16" rod. A small plug of silver solder dropped into the larger rod hole before connecting the two parts and heated to join.

It's a bit involved and I did have a lathe at that time but it works and looks original.

Original on left - fabricated rod on right.

I'm hoping Larry Moore will get back to me, and is willing to let one go. I don't have the means to make one. If need be I'll just buy 8 from PSG Parts. Then keep looking for one, or try and get one made for it.
