Goodrich model LDR Volume Pedal. Selling for friend who because of illness can't play anymore. Pedal used in good shape-comes with power supply. This is a used pedal, and for some reason there is a small maybe 1/8 inch hole that a previous owner drilled in the top left center where you place your foot-does not effect operation. $100.00 Paypal or USPS MONEY ORDER-ONLY !!! Buyer pays actual ship charge.

Duane - I have a Goodrich LDR volume pedal. It too has a threaded hole exactly where the hole is on your friend's pedal. My pedal belonged to my friend who sadly passed away, and is unused. I don't have any instructions that explain what that hole is for. _________________ Show Pro D10 - amber (8+6), MSA D10 Legend XL Signature - redburst (9+6), Sho-Bud Pro 111 Custom (8+6), Emmons black Push-Pull D10 (8+5), Zum D10 (8x8), Hudson pedal resonator. I always thought that hole was for viewing the internal light as per the picture below.
http://www.gregcutshaw.com/Goodrich%20LDR2/Top%20Light%20Source.jpg
Quote from my website:
"You can actually see the two light sources through a hole in the top of the LDR2. They are a cool green color and you can visibly see if two, one or none are working"
From an old SGF post:
"Here's where the "fail-safe" part comes in. The new LDR2 pedal has 2 light sources in parallel. If after a very long time one of these light sources should ever fail, there's a back up light source built into this pedal that will automatically take over, and the pedal will continue to function as if nothing happened at all. The way you'll notice that there is a problem is that you will notice a slight difference in the pedals response, which will alert you to check these light sources through the top of the pedal. If one of them isn't lit, you will know then to return the pedal to Goodrich for replacement. Until such time though, you will still be able to use the pedal as you normally would."

Regarding the hole, thanks guys for the update on what the hole is for. Mine seems to have a very tiny chip out on the side, so to me it looks as an old owner attempt to drill a hole. But sounds like it was indeed a useful feature and is for viewing the light. |
