Who played Searching by Kitty Wells

I just saw the iPhone ad with the Kitty Wells song in it and was wondering who was playing steel.

Yep, that was Shot, and he played on all of Kitty's songs from 1952-1957. Prior to that, Shot had played in Johnny & Jack's band "The Tennessee Mountain Boys", playing Dobro on their big hits "Bye Bye Love" and "Poison Love". Since Kitty was Johnny's wife, I guess it was natural that Shot was tapped to do her stuff, too.
