No such thing as a stupid question, right? Very Happy

Where do I get -- or how do I create -- little bits of foam like the one shown to quiet my pull rods?

I know nothing at all about procuring or working with foam plastic.

Thanks!

I think the slots are usually done with a reciprocating style electric carving knife. If you have a block of suitable foam it should be pretty easy to make the slots.

Those look like foam rectangles that were removed from a sheet of "pluck foam". Alot of gun and gear cases have a layer of this foam in them that you pluck to the shape of whatever you want to put in them.

When you're done you end up with a lot of these little rectangles.

I bought some of that at Hobby Lobby and cut it with an electric knife.

It looks like 'Open Cell' Foam?
Sometimes used as filters?
You can usually cut foam with any sharp knife.

I just bought a regular sponge from Wally World and made my own.

Yes any big craft store-Hobby Lobby or G street fabrics, etc. Or if you've saved the cardboard box & foam from all the rifles you've bought.

When I got a GFI from Billy Cooper-he puts these on all he sells. Mine squeaked a tiny bit so I took it off but the rattle was so bad it got put right back on. It's definitely the way to go.
