| Todd just emailed me to say that I have two new bars on the way. He didn't say if the fires are anywhere close to them. We have over 200 wild fires here in BC. None on Vancouver Island at this time. |

due to last year's tragedy, I'm assuming Todd's new shop has been fire-proofed with all burnables used up in that horrible fire last year.

The situation out west is really scary, and who knows when or if it will improve. Here in western NC, we've had real problems the past week with smoke from the Oregon/California fires. Can't even imagine what it has been like to be there at the source.
We've been getting a lot of recent west coast transplants moving in lately. I saw a bumper sticker the other day in Boone that said, "Boone Sucks--Tell Your Friends" Not the usual southern hospitality.
At any rate I have a lot of family and friends on the west coast and I sure hope things get better soon. Hang in there. Hope Todd doesn't end up getting clobbered again!

Todd is okay. I checked in with him recently on this. He is not located anywhere near the fires that are happening in Oregon this year.
He was in the process of moving back into his old shop and getting ready to complete a batch of Frypans amongst which is mine.
All is well. |
