This guitar was a one owner until I bought it from Jerry Roller. Jerry was selling it for the gentleman that had this special ordered from Sierra. It must be the only one Sierra ever built, there is no serial number that I can find. Sierra has been trying to find out when they built it.
Sierra used a roller nut and a changer head to build this. THIS HAS NEVER BEEN A PEDAL STEEL, it has never been molested. This is also listed on Reverb, so where ever it sells, Bob will still get a percentage. It is very nice condition with only one small area by a leg where the formica is chipped. It polishes up really nice. All pots and switches work as they should without scratchiness. All pickups work well. Tuners are all good. Legs all good and adjustable. My guess is this may never have been played out of the house, but just a guess. 24" scale. 1/4" spacing of strings at the nut, 5/16" spacing of strings at the bridge, Identical spacing as my Carter D-10. I am not casting this guitar off. I like it, however I have had 3 surgeries since last August, and may have another next month for my back. I have a weight lifting restriction of 10 pounds. The guitar is not heavy, but the case is.
I would negotiate part trade part cash, would entertain a good resophonic 6 string squareneck, Sierra lap steel, anything good but light. It would be nice to not ship, I would be willing to travel a fair distance to meet. Personal check or paypal will work. I have had comments from some through Reverb that $1395 is way too low for such a rare guitar. If anyone is interested, talk to me.
Odd how my pictures end up sideways and upside down on here, they are not that way in my album of pictures.

This looks like an amazing instrument. I want to pull the trigger but I know it would just sit in it's case for a long time. I'd rather it go to someone who is ready to use it! But if it's still for sale next week I will reach out.

What a curiosity this is! And they used the stock Sierra changers for the bridges, even though nothing is pulling the fingers.
What does this little sweetie weigh?

Thanks for the positives Tyler and Lynn.
It is not heavy, I think the case weighs more than the guitar. I had the weights written down somewhere where ever that is, I am bad at writing things down on the nearest piece of paper and never finding it again. I will weigh it again and post it.

Thank you Andy for taking the time to do this, I could not figure out how to rotate them after I upload the pics. Sure helps eliminate sore necks. Smile Smile Smile

Lynn I got the weight.
The guitar is 47 pounds.
The case is 23 pounds.
I guess I can't exactly call it light but typical of Sierras I think. I owned a Sierra pedal steel similar on weight.
Anyway for anyone that decides to buy, I will not pad the shipping costs. Assuming after a good packing it will weigh about 85 pounds, I will share the shipping charge in USA contiguous states, half and half.
But give me a day to prepare it for shipping.

Do the pickups slide ‘bayonet’ style, in /out, Dick? That was an option then. 😎 Well worth mentioning.

Oh thanks for the reminder. Yes they are bayonet style slide in and out pups. I do not know how to get the middle next pup to slide out though. Each pup also has a micro switch for two tones.
Thanks Jon.
