I need help. I have a MSA SD-10 and I am trying to change settings but where the pull rods go through the pulls I can't release because there is not a set screw just a brass type insert that is not a set screw How do I get it out to release the rod? |

I think I found the problem. Everyone of the set screws have been completely rounded out. Thanks for your reply. Now I need to find the parts to add a 4th knee lever. If you know of any please let me know. Thanks again. |

All the old MSA guitars were made with YANKEE measurement bolts nuts and screws. Be careful, A METRIC wrench may seem like it is a fit, But no a true snug fit. Put torque on it to loosen or tighten the hole will strip the allen hex to a round hole.
The only cure is take a fitting Easy Out and remove the problem screw. Or if exposed enough, cut a slot with a cutoff wheel in a Dremel Tool and remove with a flat screwdriver.
Trash the set screw, So you won't pick it up to use it again. |
