I been using a Digitech Quad 4 for many years with my Walker Stereo steel amp. Looks like the processor finally died. I’m looking to replace it with an easy to use and program single space unit. Would appreciate your input on what I should purchase.

I can't recommend anything specific right now but I just ordered one of these;
https://www.amazon.com/Behringer-Virtualizer-FX2000-High-Performance-Multi-Engine/dp/B003EZXMS0/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=rackmount+effects+processor&qid=1627403830&s=instant-video&sr=1-1

I really like the effects Behringer has in it's X32 & X-Air mixers so thought I'd take a chance, I can let you know in a week or so. Or if you're in the neighborhood sometime stop by and try it out.

Good to hear from you 147 because of your IQ at 147 I will be happy to get some input on that processor. By the way , i changed out a 2032 battery on the Quad 4 and reset to factory settings . YEA ! Its working!!

Frank,
I'm glad you got it working again. You're still welcome to stop by anytime.

Someone is selling a Roland GP-100 in the buy & sell here in the Forum for $150. If I didn't already didn't have 3 of these I would buy it.
You can shut the preamp off and just use the effects. Excellent reverbs and delays.

Ditto on the GP100. High end unit. Very versatile. I'm tempted too Len.

I use mine with the preamp and a MosValve 500 power amp per David's sale ad. Several amp models and effects for guitar or steel. Killer rig.

Yes, you can bypass the preamp section and there's a ton of effects, settings and routings.
