I think Nylok is a brand of screw that already has the sealer on it. I don't think you can buy that separately from them.
I would check with Billy Knowles or Lynn Stafford for the sealed screws.
Otherwise, there is a product called Vibra-TITE that appears to be very much like the original stuff. It comes in various colors, strength and applications, so look for the one you need. Be sure it's a thread sealer and not a thread locker product so you can adjust it. I believe Threadmate VC-3 is it.
It can be found online like Amazon or MSC Direct, Zoro or other places like that.

I have a couple of knee levers that I'll get adjusted to the perfect position for me but then will be out of adjustment in a month or sometimes even sooner. Would the products you guys are talking about in this post be a good solution to this problem? |

Ny-Loc has been around since about 1959-60.
I attend a machine Shop/mining expo as a field day in high school shop class.
They used a jig to drill a 90 degree hole into the threads of a bolt, Then a small plug of nylon was punched into the hole with force. When the nut was screwed over the nylon plug it gave a vibration proof connection.
This was in the time of wrapping threads with cotton string to keep down vibration was the norm.
Now many machines are assembling using Loc-Tite to control vibration loosening of bolts with vibration problems. |

I find boxes of needed screws for Emmons guitars in old hardware stores Nylon and the nickel plates slot head wood screws and Fillister head screws for Bigsbys.
Go check out your old hardware stores. Not Walmart. Not Ace. _________________ Chris Lucker

I did a search and a product called Vibra Tite was mentioned for the tuning screws on a push pull and was available from Mc Master Carr. |

Nah, that's OK Danny. It happens. I've probably done it myself. Information is good. It was good of you to do some research for the topic. I know about getting old too.
No worries. Be of good cheer. |
