Hi. I just wonder if I would be able to run a single 15 inch speaker with my bassman 100 top. It’s 100 watts (4 6L6’s). I find the watt rating world a little confusing.

I see that the Weber Neomag have a 15 inch rated at 150 watts, but that’s the bass version.
So maybe something like the Eminence TT-15 would be a better choice?

Any single 15 inch that can handle the power from the bassman would be intersting.

Do you guys have any tips? Smile

The reason for this is that I’m running out of space in my car. Razz

As far as sound, I don't think you will do better than a Weber California 15.. I have used one for many many years, and although they are rated at 80 watts, I have run as much as 200 through one for months at a time with NO issues.. Your Bassman 100 should be fine with it unless you plan on running the amp full bore at all times... They are well priced, great sounding, and very reliable... Mine is probably 20 years old, maybe more, and still sounds great... bob

Great!
Thanks.

Noted! I’m not planning on playing crazy loud. Just need it to stay clean for an ocational loud solo here and there.

I love the JBL sound for pedal steel, and in fact use them in my lower-power Fender amps. D-120F in my Deluxe Reverb, but K-130 in higher power amps. But as Bob says, the Weber California is also a good choice, and should give more power handling. Chrome dome for me, like an old JBL. But that is personal preference. Chrome will definitely up your presence, not everybody likes that.
