ok, i pulled some steel guitars out of the shed and it looks like the PRP Mullen, older intermediate, are narrow mount. 4 1/2 by 1 1/2 inch cavity which holds a 4 1/2 inch baseplate and 1 3/8 pu. The G2 is 4 1/2 by 2 inches. I have a 4 by 1 3/4 pup made by a manufacturer that I will demo. So, it goes in the G2. I have an emmons pp, excel and thomas that i havent measured. let me know if im on target.

Stan..Most steel guitars built required a wide mount pickup such as in your 'G2'. Notable exceptions are 'Sho Bud', 'Show Pro' and pre 'G2' Mullen Guitars (although there may be others) which called for narrow mount units.
