Well, here is your chance to own a piece of history.

1978 Sho-Bud Super Pro built for Dewitt Scott of Scotty's Music and the International Steel Guitar Convention.

Serial #13123.

This is also supposedly the first production Super Pro built.

8 pedals, 6 knee levers. Rare middle control plate features tone knob, tone bypass, and neck selector.

All the changes work and do what they are supposed to, I can send copedent if interested.

Killer tone.

The guitar was built by Paul Franklin SR.

Obvious wear and tear, rust on the underside, legs work but wouldn't hurt to get a new set.

Recently set up by a local tech here in Grand Rapids, MI.

Most of the knee lever brackets have been upgraded to the new Yahl brackets.

New Bradshaw fretboards.

I have a copy of the production card, and paper copies of correspondence from a previous owner that show the talk of this serial number being the first.

Also looking for nice pedal steels of any make and variety if one was interested in a trade.

Includes case, though the Tolex on the outside had been removed prior to me getting it.

i have repaired instruments for decades. this guitar has been subjected to water either in improper storage or a flood or something. the tolex off the case when you got it?? water does that. the rust in the undercarriage. and the way that the lacquer has checked is the other evidence. the long cracked lacquer lines and the areas where the lacquer has come away from the wood....that is only done by water soaking in the wood...swelling and then breaking up the hard glass like lacquer finish. lacquer checking from age does not look like this.

dont you think it would be a good idea to give a good explanation of the history of this instrument and what it has been subjected to? that way a buyer would be more informed. you made no mention of any of this.

Thanks for your input Bill, I wish I knew more of the history of the guitar before I got it.
