Fred, the one on YouTube was from the 70s. It's not the recording being discussed. The CD "Murph" was Joaquin's final recording produced in the 1990s. _________________ Steel Guitar Books! Website: www.volkmediabooks.com |

I didn’t know there was another one from the 90’s. I would love to hear it. |

Yep, the guitar Chas built. Recorded & produced by Michael Johnstone, 1996-99.
We JM fans all owe Chas and Mike a huge thank you for making this CD happen - from Chas building Murph's guitar to Mike drying him out, encouraging him, and surrounding him with sympathetic msuicans. I adore his gorgeous solo pieces that close the record. JM was a bit self conscious on those so Mike tiold him he was going to get a sandwich, rolled record, and threw a hat over the red light. Murph played just for himself and ultimately years later, for all of us. Thanks to Chris Clem for posting! _________________ Steel Guitar Books! Website: www.volkmediabooks.com |
