It brings me deep sorrow and a heavy heart to inform you that my friend, Dick passed away in veteran's memorial hospital Houston this morning around 2am.
He was a wounded veteran of the Vietnam War. A musician from a large family of musicians from Ohio. I can't tell you all about him, but can say he has a lot to do with me playing. He encouraged a lot of musicians.
Dick has a Jam in Bay City,TX every year, with the exception of a couple due to health. Jam 11 will go on in his honor. Dick was a fan of Jimmy Day and took me to my first TSGA convention and I took him to his last,
in 2020.

Jerry Fessenden, I know Dick thought of you as a great friend. He respected you as a person and a builder of steels. If it wasn't for him, I may not have known you.
Can't believe he is gone, it was sudden. _________________ Zum D10 |
