Jimmy Day sure had a unique sound. I am happy I saw him more than once at steel shows. |

Thanks for posting this. Buddy called Jimmy “ his teacherâ€. This recording certainly sheds light on why Buddy would say that. I had not heard this one! Awesome! |

Jimmy had so much heart and soul in his playing. Seen him at many of Scotty's St Louis steel conventions. |

Jimmy was one of a kind, for sure. I was fortunate to sit by his side some times at a little music store in Florida, when he would come by. He felt free to set up in the store and just play for himself, no audience, no concert. How he could play something so complicated and make it seem so simple, amazing. _________________ Mullen Lacquer SD 10, 3 & 5; Mullen Mica S 10 1/2 pad, 3 & 5; BJS Bars; LTD400, Nashville 112, DD-3, RV-3, Hilton VP . -- Gold Tone PBS sq neck; Wechter Scheerhorn sq neck. -- "Experience is the thing you have left when everything else is gone." -anon.- |
