I want to make the switch from a D-10 at some point. I’d love to see some Universal steels to covet until then. Post ‘em if you got ‘em! |

This us the one I found on E-bay.
I never decorated any of my other steels, but this one needed it. I think it looks a lot better now.

Love that white MSA. I’m not one for white six strings usually, but a white steel guitar always catches my eye.
Dave, what’s that mica color called? Looks awesome. |

This is how my keyless ones looked straight out of the box.
They're still in good shape!
The Excel is 25½", the Williams 24¼". They have identical Alumitone pickups and sound similar although they feel different. The Excel is good for playing with a loud band - the Williams is a little more dignified

I’m drooling over here, thanks everyone. Those new MSA’s look so damn sleek, if I could ever order new I think that would be my first choice. |

Colin -
In my extremely limited view, MSA guitars are the kings of U12, because of Reece’s vibe… _________________ Christopher Woitach

MSA have a deserved reputation, but not for lightness.
My choice of Excel keyless was partly for ease of hauling, and the Williams is nice and easy too. I'm ok now but it's possible I may get old at some point. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

These pictures show my Williams with only 5 floors and 5 knees. It is now set-up a true universal with 7 floors and 5 knees.

Colin,
I see 3 Universals in the For Sale section. There's a Carter, a Mullen and a Williams. Maybe more but that's as far as I searched. |
