One of Dale's Bessdang Gizmos was a powdery product called Picks E Dust. You apply it to your fingertips and thumb before putting on your picks and it helpes hold the picks in place.

I ran across my little container of it today.

Anyone know what the blend of powders might be?

It smells like baby powder, but looks and smells a bit like some sort of women's facial makeup product.

Itâ€™s been several years since Iâ€™ve posted on the SGF.
To answer your question, the primary ingredient in the â€œPixie Dustâ€, is food grade Diatomaceous Earth, which is a desiccant, and draws the moisture, and oils from your fingertips, in order to maintain a virtually non-slip contact with your picks. I added a little bit of an organic (very safe) pest control product that is rated for (edible) garden vegetables, which is also a desiccant, to give it that sweet, pleasant aroma.

If you need some more, I can send you some in a ziplock. Iâ€™m out of those little containers, and wonâ€™t be purchasing any more.
