Sold all the others on facebook reverb craigslist c'mon guys.
Oahu Iolana Double 6 Hawaiian matching bandstand amp 1500 Might consider trades for acoustic resonator or a tempting double 8.
Oahu Iolana Double 6 Hawaiian, factory volume pedal and matching personalized Bandstand amp. Original cases, chart holder, and amp cover. Probably have the flat bar somewhere. Crumbly tuner buttons repaired with like kind. Volume pedal bottom cover is bent and the feet are melted off. Amp has been overhauled re-capped and the transformer was replaced. Dolores’ name lights up. Great setup. I need 8 strings. 1500 _________________ Sustainability is unsustainable

Last year I bought a Gibson 530 like yours (technically it is a model CG530). It is an unsung GEM of a steel guitar. The effects buttons are a lot of fun and those are real PAF humbuckers. The CG530 was the first guitar Gibson put the PAFs in - 6 months before the Les Pauls got them. With a 1 meg volume pot and a 500k tone pot the guitar is brighter than you might think - but very full sounding. A very rare model - only 260 were ever made - and it's very portable. My CG530 has become my favorite steel guitar even over my vintage Fenders and Ricks. Just thought I would provide some info on this great steel. Good luck with your sale! |

Messaged on the Gibson, I've always been curious on these since they've got the PAF...seems like they were left unmolested since they can't be used for regular ole guitars, no? |

Right. No one wants to router their expensive six string to mount an 8 string PAF. However the pots, bumblebee cap and knobs might be worth a pretty penny to someone restoring an old LP. If you end up buying this one I would be very interested to hear your opinions/observations. As an owner of a rare steel I am starved for information. |

I hate to part with it. the 530 is a fantastic 'sleeper'. With those pickups it sounds better than a grand console. I had each plugged into the same amp same settings side by side to verify - the 'cheap' guitar won hands down. And you know how good a grand console is. _________________ Sustainability is unsustainable |
