Normally would someone 6'2" be comfortable on a steel not raised. I'm 6'4" and raise two inches. Selling a guitar to someone 6'2" and want to be sure they can play it. Ken

I’m 6’3, mine’s raised 2”. The 6’2 guy should be okay with it.
IMHO steel guitars should be made taller, and shorter people should have to shorten them...

All seriousness aside, the height of the guitar deck and comfortable ergonomics is more complicated than just a person’s overall height. Their actual leg length and their girth have just as much if not more of an impact.

6’3”. Varies from guitar to guitar, but 1-1/2 to 2” raise usually fits. Your new guy should be fine.

Sorry, I didn't say it right. The guitar I'm selling is standard height. I'm keeping my raise kit. I am wondering if he's going to get by without a raise. Thanks for the replies. Ken

Worth a try but probably not. Raise kits are cheap & easy. Maybe let the buyer know where he can get one and how to install.

Really does vary between guitars, especially with respect to vertical knee levers. There have been a couple where I needed no raise at all.
