Lap steel is the instrument I love to pick up when I have some extra cash, but it's often the first thing I sell when I need to raise some gear funds.

This "new" (to me) Chandler RH-2 is from a facebook sale that traveled from Wisconsin to Maine.

Oh, that's nice. I've been wanting one of those for a while, they pop up on CL from time to time so I'll snag the next one.

For a beginner lap steel player, if you had the chance to grab one of these instead of say one of the new Gretsch lap steels is it a better bet?

I think it’s a better choice myself.
