Can someone enlighten me on the differences if any between the original TCA 500 and the subsequent A, B, and C models.
What are the differences in features and any issues with internal components or sound? _________________ Zum SD-12 Black, Zum SD-12 Burly Elm Several B-Bender Tele's and a lot of other gear I can't play.

I think I’m correct, but not positive. I own a TCA-500 B and also a C model, both are 12†combo amps. The very early A model, may have had an uncolored front panel behind the knobs, (black face), with no cabinet tilt feature underneath. The B model has the cabinet tilt lever and colored front panel. The C model has same basic features as the B, but also has a toggle switch on the back for converting the amp to an unpowered speaker extension cabinet. There are probably other tech related features, but I’m no tech. Both B, and C amps sound almost exactly the same. Great products and Made in USA! |
