MSA Manufacture date?

I am talking with a gentleman who has an older MSA S10 but not sure of the year. I hunted around the forum and on Google and I don't see anything on deciphering the date from the serial number. 1C6982 is what I was given, any info would be appreciated. Notice I did not ask how to date a steel guitar, learned my lesson last time Laughing

Contact MSA through their website. David Wright or Kyle Bennett Who work their are supposed to have Mr. Andersons records on date of birth of MSA Steels.

I have an MSA S10 Serial No. 1C2921 Mr. Anderson said it was born July 9, 1974. 4061 SN later would make it several years later.
