After much thought and having recently read the "Cable Convention" thread, I've decided to accumulate some info about Fender pedal steels on a web page.
On the page, I'd like to link to some related threads on the forum, link to photos of some of your guitars, and post info on some of your projects, modification, how-to tips and such.
I'd also like to post some tablature for 8-string pedal tunings, particularly the Sneaky Pete tuning.
At this time, it's not going to be interactive, like a forum, but I'll try to keep it updated and see how it goes.
Let me know if you have info to offer.

Great idea, if I can help in any way like hosting sound clips or video, just let me know.
I own a couple of Fenders and have recorded most of my albums using a Fender 1000.
Just one point, don't limit your tab to the Sneak Pete tuning, there are many alternative tunings just as there are styles.

Oooooo!
ANY tab for 8 strings would be wonderful!!! No offense to those that have taken the steps to 10, but it's crazy annoying to have to count strings all the time...
It would be nice to see some "popular" licks that you 8 stringers like, accompanied by the copedents you favor as well.

Thanks for the offer, Basil. I'll definately want 8-string tabs for any tunings/copedants that someone might have to offer. As far as hosting for sound etc., I'll email you about that.
I'm working on setting up the page/pages and input is needed so I can decide how to group things and try to include the info folks want most...if it can be found.
What else do y'all want to see on the page?

| Gerald - I have detailed pics of the guts of my 400, including "process" photos of adding an extra pickup, knee levers, barrel tuners, etc. Do you want eamil copies of that stuff? |

Jim - You bet! I'll post a few photos of modified Fenders, unique guitars and such and I'll link to more stuff. Send 'em to me, please.
I hope to have the basics up and running in a couple of days.
