Well, I did! This little MSA Classic teardown, cleaning and rebuild just got a little longer. What a rookie mistake! Had her ALL back together, strung up, put on the legs. "Time to dial it in!" I said. Oops... what the, er, um, strings don't seem to be a movin' when I mash the pedals! How could I have not noticed the string saddles need to be IN FRONT. I'd put those changers together weeks ago. Not discouaged, I dove in and worked thru the evening, pulled the changer apart, and by bed time I was back to square one... on the E9 neck! C6 neck to follow some time in the future when finally stop cryin'. Just thought some of you would enjoy my boneheaded adventures underneath the hood of a '73 MSA D-10.

Thanks for making us all feel a little better this afternoon

This reminds me of the picture of a canoe maker, and the canoe has one end up/one end down....

With the caption $**T!

After several large posts have been moved out of the way, and several flanges disconnected, and the 52nd cover plate bolt has been removed, and the gasket seal broken, and several bolts have been twisted off, and the socket has been stripped out, you will realize that you have removed the wrong cover plate.
Somebody mentioned a fella named murphy...

Last week I changed the internal battery of my pda.
Hardest part was closing the case again, making shure the ir window and several buttons would not fall out again. After putting in the last screw I saw the screws of the internal circuit-board still laying on the table.......

I must ask: How can you string it up with the fingers backwards; or a least not notice that they're backwards when trying to put on a string?

Terry,
We've probably all been there. A few years ago I took my project pp Emmons apart and cleaned and polished everything. Put the beauty back together and strung it up only to find I had put the changers on the wrong necks and they are different. Couldn't put the rods on. I was so mad at myself I played it a year in the bedroom with no pedals hooked up. It's all fine now.

David,
I have that same picture in my garage where I build RC airplanes. I love to put on a stack of steel guitar music and build models while I listen.

Ray,
I played non pedal for several years so it was more like a refresher coarse. You get lazy playing pedals. I still have a non pedal S 10. Once in a while I use it standing up in our western swing band.
