Need a 1.5 inch wide, chrome, six string Horseshoe pickup from Rickenbacher, for a pre war Ricky restoration project. Need of rewind is O.K .

Thanks,
Todd

Thanks Jack,
I contacted him about that. He only has the bobbin and no shoes to go with .

Hi Todd,

By no means an authority re the specs on these pickups, but aren’t they typically nickel-plated from that era?

Btw, I was aware of your fine work on resonators and only recently discovered the remarkable lapsteels you are making. Perhaps I should get rid of a few pre-war lapsteels and get a 21st century gem.

I did eventually find a pickup for the project. It appears to be a later prewar and appears to be chrome. But I was mostly trying to differentiate between chrome/nickel and the painted black or gray shoes which I did not want.

Glad you’re sorted in the end. Those old Ric horseshoe pickups are getting harder and harder to come by.

Guess SGF can close this ine out.
