I am super excited. I just placed an order with Jimmie Hudson of HudsonSteelGuitars for a 10 string pedal steel modified for my special purposes.
I am an amputee and many in this forum have helped me explore this idea. Jimmie is able to move the pedals to my right side. My left leg is amputated above the knee.
Jimmie is super friendly and I am so blessed to find him. There are a few real limitations to being an amputee. I cant drive a standard transmission or play a standard pedal steel with out adaptations. Thanks to Jimmie I have a pedal steel on order.
I again want to shout out to everyone who has replied to all of my newbie questions. This forum is wonderful. |

Steven - that is great to hear. I sold a SD-10 to a guy in West Virginia, and he was going to move the pedals to his right leg as well. He said he has done that to all his guitars for 30 -40 years, as he had polio as a kid, and has limited use of his left leg.
Best of luck on your new adventure.

That's fantastic! I hear nothing but great things about Jimmie and his guitars. You'll be stomping and sliding in no time! _________________ Marlen S12 and a ZT Club |
